The UK has a good reputation for providing highest level of quality education world-wide. There are more than 150 higher education institutions in the UK,which are permitted to award a wide variety of degrees to suit most educational aspirations. All institutions have degree awarding powers recognised by the UK authorities ( eg. England and Scottish Parliament, Welsh and Northern Ireland Assemblies ) .
There are also over 600 colleges and other institutions which do not have any degree awarding powers but can provide complete undergraduate courses leading to recognised UK degrees. Courses at these institutions are validated by institutions which have degree awarding powers.
